24 Weeks

How far along? 24 weeks
Baby Baker is the size of: An Ear of Corn (12.5 inches long and 1.25 lb).
Food I want in my belly: Birthday cake
Food I want nowhere near me: Nothing new…
Baby Prep to Do: Start selecting fabrics for crib bedding…my wonderful, talented friend Amie will be sewing the bedding for the nursery…she has some awesome ideas…can’t wait to see it all come together!!!
Highlight of the week: Celebrating my 32nd birthday!! Had a relaxing weekend eating crawfish and checking out the Fort Worth Food Park…apparently all my plans revolved around food…but still managed to fit in some nice outdoor fun. So much to be excited for this year!! Also got the chance to spend some time with Karla and Jason!! Miss them!
Exercise regimen: Crossfit x 5
Maternity Clothes:  Wearing some of my regular shirts and comfy pants but mostly maternity.
Baby Gender: A sweet baby girl
Pregnancy Symptoms: This week brought on a whole new meaning to the phrase frequent urination. A few days this week I lost count after I visited the ladies room over 20 times. Baby girl sure likes to kick my bladder which doesn’t help matters.
Item(s) I could not live without: A good stock of toilet paper…see previous symptom.
Anything else worth mentioning? Tim finished painting the dresser/changing table this weekend. We changed the hardware and added the changing pad. So pleased with how it turned out…take a look at the pictures below. This dresser is 50+ years old and belonged to my mom. I remember using it in my play room as a kid when we played house, dress-up and school. So neat to see it used for my daughter.

Baby Prep to Do: Baby Baker’s room is painted…next weekend we (Tim) will paint the dresser/changing table…really starting to check off several big items on the ol’ to-do list.
Highlight of the week: Had a fun and productive visit with my dad and step-mom…weekend full of painting and lots and lots of shopping.
Exercise regimen: Crossfit x 4 and walked 1 mile
thanks for the photo Amie

Maternity Clothes:  Wearing some of my regular clothes but really starting to add more to my maternity wardrobe…found lots of cute and super comfortable maternity clothes while out shopping this weekend.
Baby Gender: A sweet baby girl
Pregnancy Symptoms: Infamous pregnancy brain…I found myself stopping mid sentence a few times this week and had no idea what I was talking about…I heard it only gets worse.
Item(s) I could not live without: My new maternity work pants…ahhhhh.
Anything else worth mentioning? We had our 3D/4D ultrasound appointment and got to see Baby Girl’s face and her moving all around. She must be shy…or possibly stubborn… because she covered her face most of the time. We did get to see her try and suck on her hand and yawn a few times…I could watch her all day!

Who does she look like??

 Time to paint the room....

Baby Baker is the size of: A Banana (10.5 inches long and 12.7 oz). Baby grew 4 inches this week!! CORRECTION: According to my husband, Tim, Baby did not grow 4 inches but this is the week that instead of measuring head to rump, you measure head to feet...apparently someone has been reading their pregnancy app =)
Food I want in my belly: Anything spicy…jalapenos on everything!!
Food I want nowhere near me: Nothing new…
Baby Prep to Do: Putting baby crib together this weekend and finish registering.

Exercise regimen: Crossfit x 5
Maternity Clothes:  Wearing my older clothes which are a size bigger and maternity jeans.
Baby Gender: A sweet baby girl
