How far along? 19 weeks
Baby Baker is the size of: A Mango (6 inches long and 8 oz).
Food I want in my belly: This week it wasn’t food I craved but drinks…OJ with ice at night.
Food I want nowhere near me: Nothing new…
Baby Prep To Do: Start planning the nursery since we now know the gender of Baby Baker.
Highlight of the week: So much to highlight this week!!  Felt the baby move for the 1st time, got to see Baby Baker during the anatomy scan…baby waived at us, celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary, and last but not least found out the gender of Baby Baker.
Exercise regimen: Crossfit x 5; walked total of 3 miles
Maternity Clothes:  Wearing my older clothes which are a size bigger. These should work for a few more weeks.
Baby Gender: A Girl!!!!!!!
Pregnancy Symptoms: Increased trips to the ladies room…I hear this will only get worse.
Item(s) I could not live without: Not usually very sappy on this blog but I think it’s only right I say my husband…although I guess he is a not really an item but his humor and support makes this an even better experience.
Anything else worth mentioning? On February 14th, I felt Baby Baker move for the first time. I was sitting in a meeting and started feeling a little tapping in the front of stomach. I have no clue what the meeting was about after that point.

2nd Anniversary Celebration...

Today, Tim and I celebrate two years of marriage. It seems like it was just yesterday we were celebrating in New Orleans with all our family and friends having a blast. And now here we are pregnant with our first baby...life couldn't be better. I look forward to the next year of marriage as we become parents and experience even more wonderful memories with each other, our friends and our family. Now it is time to head out to dinner and eat cake!

Can't Hardly Wait...

The gender of Baby Baker is in this brown envelope...tightly sealed!!!

Today Tim and I went for our much anticipated anatomy scan...BUT...we decided to hold off on finding out the gender for a couple more days. Our 2nd wedding anniversary is in 4 days so we thought it would make it extra special to wait until then to open the envelope.

We had the sonographer put a sonogram picture with the gender typed on it in the envelope. Our plan is to take the envelope to a bakery and have them make us a gender reveal cake. Basically what they do is make the inside of the cake either pink or blue and cover it with icing so you cannot see what color it is until you cut into the cake. We plan to pick up the cake on our way to dinner to celebrate our anniversary and find out whether Baby Baker will be a girl or boy during dessert...5 o'clock reservations anyone??!!

So now here we sit on the couch watching the TV with some of the biggest news sitting in an envelope a few feet away...think we will be able to make it??!!

18 Weeks

How far along? 18 weeks
Baby Baker is the size of: A Sweet Potato (5.6 inches long and 6.7 oz).
Food I want in my belly: Not gonna lie…BLT sandwich with a pickle on the side was for dinner twice this past week…guess this is still in the lead.
Food I want nowhere near me: Nothing new…
Baby Prep To Do: Try and schedule some day care tours for next week since I have a day off from work.
Highlight of the week: This weekend was our annual family Italian sausage party. Growing up my uncles and grandfather would make sausage for the year. It was always a chance for the family to get together. About 3 years ago, my brother, Tim and all my cousins started this tradition back up again. The equipment we use is over 100 years old. It was great seeing most the family together again.
Exercise regimen: Crossfit x 4; walked total of 1 mile
Maternity Clothes:  Same as last week…still wearing regular work clothes…but using my Be Band which allows me to leave my pants unbuttoned and it covers your belly like maternity pants would. I am also able to use some of my older clothes which are a size bigger.
Baby Gender: One more week to go!!!
Pregnancy Symptoms: Heart burn has reared its ugly head again…
Item(s) I could not live without: My books about pregnancy and baby apps for my phone. It is pretty neat that what they say about symptoms is normally spot on.
Anything else worth mentioning? We have our anatomy ultrasound this week so we will get to see how much Baby Baker has grown over the last 5 weeks.

17 Weeks

How far along? 17 weeks
Baby Baker is the size of: An Onion (5.1 inches long and 6 oz). Baby can also hear our voices and music now.
Food I want in my belly: 3 Letters…B…L…T…I had never had one of these in my entire life and my friend at work mentioned they made them the previous day. From that moment on, I could not get the thought of it out of my head. After my workout that evening I HAD to make a stop at the grocery store to buy the necessary ingredients…I was super smart and picked up extra bacon just in case I had this craving for more than one day…good call…it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I have been naming food items that I have really enjoyed throughout this pregnancy but I think it is safe to say this was my first real pregnancy craving…
Food I want nowhere near me: Nothing new…
Baby Prep To Do: Baby closet complete! This week we are going to check out some baby furniture. I am hoping to be able to use some of the same pieces my sister used for her two girls.
Highlight of the week: Had my 16 week check up and scheduled our anatomy scan!!
Exercise regimen: Crossfit x 5; walked total of 6 miles
Maternity Clothes:  Still wearing regular work clothes…but using my Be Band which allows me to leave my pants unbuttoned and it covers your belly like maternity pants would. I am also able to use some of my older clothes which are a size bigger than what I wore pre-pregnancy.
Baby Gender: I had a dream that we were about to find out…but I woke up before we found out so still no feeling either way.
Pregnancy Symptoms: Crazy dreams…especially nightmares…ugh!
Item(s) I could not live without: My Be Band…this invention will save me some $$ on maternity clothes.
Anything else worth mentioning? We have exciting plans for our baby gender reveal so stay tuned…
